An interim-manager (IM) is a temporary manager (Manager). Such persons are for a certain time attracted to the leadership of a Department or an organization to take charge  . It is also possible that they assist local  managers. Their role should be agreed in advance. They are  external persons, i.e. officials from outside the organization.

Interim Management International (IMINT) has a strict admission policies for interim managers and an intensive tracking system to monitor the performance of the interim-manager. Each new interim manager has selection interviews with IMINT-advisors, a referee’s control of recent clients and an extensive “paper” control.
